What is slow pay? I have been "slow paid" by a VERY reputable book - they were having server problems, so it took them 4 days to send a Western Union, but I know its not a problem with them and that is why I wont even mention the name here.

I guess Cincy I meant if they SLOW PAY just to slowpay as they have no funds in neteller etc... and not for circumstances beyond there control...

I see your point if the slow pay due to server problems was happening MANY times I would have to rethink if I was going to play there in the future...

Yes, hard to repair a reputation ! Once you're a slut known as back-seat Becky ! It's hard to overcome the reputation.

I play at lower rated WAGERWEB, they have reputation of paying, give me free half , even off 7, because I'm an old customer.

Reputation is something you can't buy (BOS), you EARN it !

I would have to say yes!

Server problems are forgiven but this is the one thing all books must do with a smile on their face. This is the best marketing tool a book has its disposal, pay and pay fast and with a smile, it will return to you over and over again if you just pay fast!

I know when I get any greif from a book about payouts even a kind "why are you pulling all your money out", I never return.

The problem I see with a slow pay is when you can't transfer you money around because a book slow pays you. And this goes for poker sites also which have no reason to slow pay you since it's not their money they are dealing with.

I know I requested a payout from a poker site once and was scheduled to be in a tournament I knew I could finish in the money in....at least hopefully. After not receiving a payout through NETeller at a poker site, I asked them what was the problem. They told me people change their minds so they were waiting to see if I changed mine! What a joke! I've gotten my fastest payouts at Bodog no matter what time of the day or night!

I respect your opinion on that I am not sure I could ever use one that did that again though

Insufficient funds not a good sign in my opinion.

I don't think that a one time "dry neteller" is the end of the world.

No book likes to leave excessive amounts of money in Neteller, and if they get a run on the bank, or just fall asleep at the wheel-it can take 3-5 days for them to get it reloaded (due to $$$ transfer times).

As long as other payment methods are still working as usual, I don't see it as a big deal-unless it becomes a regular occurence.
