Excuse the ignorance, maybe someone here has better knowledge on this whole hurricane topic..

I was thinking earlier today, wouldnt a blast from a strong weapon or even several weapons have an effect on a hurricane? You know maybe destroy the hole in the center somewhat, dissorganize it and thus make it lose strength?

Maybe firing several torpedos from submarines and blasting them around the center of the phenomenon?

Is this completely stupid, would it work, would it work but is too tough to pull off or what?

that would not work, these things have 10,000X the energy of our strongest weapons.

No, but you could destroy the levy system in New Orleans first with the weapons and not have to blame the Corp of Engineers.

what we really need is for superman to blow the hurricane back into the sea with his super-breathe. if that didnt work, he could fly around the earth about 10,000 times in the opposite direction of the earth's revolution...thus reversing time to allow every last person to get out of texas and louisiana.

no joke, they had a guy yesterday who wanted to take 10 jets and drop thousands of tons of the powder in baby diapers in it... it would reduce alot of the moisture to a gel that would drop into the ocean...

this seemed to be not too bad of an idea... it would take alot of the strength out of it...

Lol, no need that's happening at both poles. 720 billion tons off the Larsen B ice shelf 3 years ago but not much cooling.

There are people at MIT exploring the possibility of dropping super absorbant foam on the hurricane right around the eye.

The foam was developed by 3M and the big problem right now about even trying it is (a) the cost and (b) the cleanup afterwards.

In the movie "Woodstock" all the hippies started chanting "No rain, no rain" when the storm blew in.

Maybe that would work?
