just wondering how many of those who had their A's +20000 to win the WS are now upset that bet was cancelled, since - as expected - the A's are just about DONE for 2005 and WON'T make the playoffs as some of us said would happen

i know the priniciple behind it all sucks - but as i - and others said at the time - that bet had ZERO chance of cashing and soon we will be proven right

They had a hell of a run...just remember next yr at some point to play them everyday for 40 games and grab your 32-8 run along with them....by now we should see this one coming.

Who would want the bet cancelled. Just put a bet on the opposite of the A's each day and you would of cleaned up. I would be pissed if I had the bet cancelled. So easy to hedge at those odds.

I'm still pissed that the wagers were cancelled, and I'm glad this worthless shop, BCN took major heat for it. It kinda backfired on them didn't it. Thats what happens when you lie and cheat and get into bed with characters like the major. They should have listened to refutable moderators at the RX like Fishhead and done the right thing. Hell Fishhead was praising the site and they were getting post ups left and right. A's don't make the playoffs and they lose their post ups. Nice trade off BCN

once rich harden gets health and dan meyer gets enough experience in the minors we will be back.

BCN destroyed their credibility when they voided the A's future bets days after accepting the bets AND after the Angels got swept by Toronto. BCN is a shady book. MajorWager backed this book all the way. What a joke of a watchdog site.

Another pitcher who would've been in the rotation this year but tore ligaments in his hand and would've been a stud is John Rheinecker! Watch for him in the future. 4-0 with 1.77 before injury at AAA Sacremento.

Well lets not forget the margin is 4 games and the A's have the Angels at home for a 4-game stand. Its not over yet.

I wish the A's would do something. I have a large bet on them to win the West. I cant even hedge a little anymore it has got so bad. :sad3:

If they sweep the Angels.... they still have a chance sounds so nice, but very tough to do. Angels know they just need a 2-2 split and the playoff spot is wrapped up.

Lets go A's!

One Angels win and its almost over, especially if Colon can take care of business tomorrow against the DRays. If the Angels go in up 4, the A's almost must sweep them or its over. If the Angels go into the last weekend up by 2 games the A's have little chance to catch them.

Good angle on this though, if the A's lose a game against the Angels during the week just bet against them the next game out. A's will know its over at that point, even if the standings don't technically say its so.
