Receiving WAY to much undo criticism in my estimation.

I could go on and on and on as to why, but will save my breath.

Fact is, BRETT FAVRE is the greatest quarterback I have ever seen play in my lifetime............and doubt that I will ever see one better.

Tom Brady, Joe Montana, or anybody else could win 30 Superbowls in a row, and would feel the sameway.

GO PACKERS!!

Keep pulling fish. He's finished.

No coach

No offensive line

No receivers

Favre is still a very good quarterback, to think otherwise is being foolish.

I apoloize.

Sorry,

Fish I watch games where he simply throws the ball up all the time and hopes. He's done this for years. Throws a ton of INTs and yes the team sucks but it is time for him to retire.

This is the same BS I had to listen to from people in Favre's first two full season with the Packers, BEFORE he won three straight MVP'!!

Let me tell you something, FAVRE was SPECTACULAR in those years BEFORE his MVP seasons, even though many football fans and media outside of Green Bay didn't know any better to think he was. One would have to have watched Favre play every down back then to fully understand how GREAT he was then...........which the majority didn't.

Montana and Elway way better. Favre throws too many balls up for grabs. An all-timer, but nowhere near the best. And if anything, he doesn't get enough criticism. Every time I see him play the announcers spend most of the game kissing his ass.

I only put Elway, Unitus, and Montana ahead of Favre. This team had deteriated the last couple of years. Thast on the front office. Favre has to do more then any other QB in the league IMO, which puts him in a bad situation at times. I agree sometimes I can't figure out what or where he is throwing the ball, but could that be partly do to the play calling from the sidelines. " Sherman " the most overrated coach in the league. Favre's skills are still their, he had a great year last year 30+ TD's and 4000 yards. The team is the problem , not Favre

Speaking of all time great Qbs, i look at a Qb like Tom Brady, whom i really really hate, but that does not mean i cant see that he is a far better QB than Bret Favre, he is way more intelligent than favre, has a far better understanding of the game and is a far better leader than Bret ever was..You dont have to be some flashy qb zipping balls by your line man's ears or firing one between two Dbs to get it to your WR..The so called "gunslinger"...You looking for a flashy gun slinger, well i give you Peyton Manning, another Qb i hate even more than
Brady, being a Titans fan. He is tons and tons of talent way better than Favre, and when it comes to football smarts, Bret Favre really has zero on him. Peyton Manning is the only Qb i know of so far in this decade who is allowed to call his own plays. We have coaches in the league who couldnt call their own plays if their lives depended on it. He has broken all kinds of passing records and has achieved way more than Favre ever achieved at the same point in his career. With or without a superbowl rings, i would take Manning 10 times over before ever touching that reckless SOB favre!!!!

Ps...Being that my distaste for favre is already well known, i understand if one cant take this post seriously!!!!

Has Manning even been to a AFC Title game much less two Super Bowls. 3 MVP's to 1. Not even close. Manning has to get to the next level to even be considered at Favre's level. Manning is closer to Marino, the most overrated QB in league history, then he is to a top 5 QB like Favre. Come back and participate in this thread when he actually wins something

I couldn't agree with you more... especially on the Marino slam ! I rate Montano, Elway, and Unitas ahead of Favre but not by much. I go way back and always thought Bart Starr was one of the best because He made almost no mistakes in big games.......more or less the opposite of Dan Marino.

Bart Starr was my football idol as a child.

1. John Elway
2. Brett Favre
3. Dan Marino

Fishhead could have played QB for 49ers and won 2 super bowls with Montana's team and a system that was about 10 years ahead of its time. Elway had most talent ever, cannon for an arm, good running ability, and tough as nails. Favre had the same, just not as great of a runner. Marino was the best pure passer, didn't have the great teams around him at any one time.

Sorry man, i cant get into an in depth argument with some one who is so ignorant about the NFL that they dont even know who won the MVP in the last two years!!!! You cant even comprehend simple english phrases or some how missed the part where i mentioned, Manning has achieved far more than Favre did at this point in this career..But why the hell am i carrying on? you probably think Favre won mvp last year and the year before that...:lolBIG:
