Garland, who is third in the AL with 17 wins, is 3-0 with a microscopic 0.35 ERA in three starts against the Tigers this season. The 26-year-old right-hander enters with a 23-inning scoreless streak against Detroit, including shutouts on May 1 and Sept. 4.

im leaning to playing them small

any thoughts appreciated

I think CHI has righted the ship just in time...Garland has been average at best the past month or so...

Robertson and Detroit have won 1 of his last 10 starts...

I like the play somewhat but will pass because everytime I play on Garland he lays an egg.

I am with you on this play. Normally this game would be a absolute no-go for me, because all the public over it, but if you think everytime this way, you would have never bet on the Indians last 20 games. But in this case there are a lot of reasons to back white sox right now: First they have started a series right in time as journeyman mentioned and 2nd they must win this game to have a cushion of 2 games for the showdown against cleveland end of the week. Right now, i think indians are stronger than sox and sox know they must win these games against Detroit to go in the showdown with a lead of at least 2 games. As i said i normally don't bet on public favs, but i have bet the last days just Philly and San Francisco and made good money, because they couldn't afford to loose. And they were also public favs.

Just my 2 cents.

cheers,

colton

I would pass. Last year Johnson got the White sox who had lost 2 in a row and lost 11-2. Man has been a solid home pitcher and remembers that day. Garland has been lit for 5 or more runs in 5 of his last starts. Do not expect Detroit to go peacefullly here. Do not expect Johnson to pitch less than 7 quality innings here.

Im assuming you mean 5 of his last 10???? True but look at the teams that got him.....Cleveland (on fire), LAA (on fire), Texas (in Texas) Red Sox (in Boston) and NYY.Detroit is batting like .230 in their L10....not in the same league as any of other losses.Hes dominated the other weaker teams in the L10.

I am making my largest play of the season here on the White Sox, I have been riding the Indians, Yankees, Red Sox, and Phillies and plann to continue as well.

Simply comes down to getting the better team focused against a bunch of guys making offseason vacation plans.

That is so piss poor, I knew the second he let AJ hit that the inning would play out like that.

SAD.

You have 3 catchers right now and there is no way in hell he should hit there.

Earlier in the game 1st and 3rd one out he GIDP and now strikes out and they get nothing.

Get your head outta ur ass Ozzie!!!!!!!!!
