-after much reflection, I am realizing that this idea to move all the low VIG sportsbook action over to the exchange was a GREAT IDEA!!!

-all the low prices that USED to be available in the sportsbook are now available in the EXCHANGE as Mansion Linesmakers are still putting up LOW VIG offers over there....

-this move has also moved all of their customers to the EXCHANGE which in effect means there are alot more EYES on the exchange & alot more OFFERS being Made....

-When you MAKE AN OFFER on the MANSION exchange it is 0% commission....

-OFTEN in MLB I am seeing lines like this: -121/+120 due to everyday people maling offers..... EVEN if you ACCEPT the offer instead of making it... the cost is only 1% commission.

-If you post offers on a MAJOR sporting event & the offer is reasonable more often than not, it will get filled, here are some examples of OFFERS I made on the MANSION exchange this weekend & all of them got filled without a problem.... Basically, I look at pinnacle & other reduced juice shops, & I make my offer 3 or 4 cents better in my Favor....

This weekend I got:

Cincinatti -3 +110
New Orleans +3.5 +101
Dallas over 40.5 +101
Pitt -3 -110

(Now, the people who accepted my offer also got a great deal, so it was easy to entivce them.... for example, whoever took my New Orleans offer effectivly got Minnesotta -3.5 -101 (with 1% commission).... still very cheap.... :digit:

I disagree that they "moved the sportsbook action" over to the exchange. There were lots of folks that packed up and left after they went back to 20 cent lines.

What percentage of the action do you think they "moved"?

good point, however IMO many people who are unwilling to try something new (the exchange) are simply shooting themselves in the foot.... the numbers on the new exchange are the same or even better than the numbers in the old sportsbook.....

also, now there are more OFFERS in the EXCHANGE, & a bigger chance that someone else will see your offer.....

Just look at the examples above.... can you name another book where I could have got those prices?

I don't disagree with that at all.

My point was that Mansion lost a tremendous amount of action when they moved their juice to 20 cents. Good for them though as they were losing their ass from what I have heard.

Most U.S. based gamblers are not comfortable with the exchange format and the exchanges don't do enough to educate them and make it simpler to navigate. Until this happens they will not substantially increase their action.

People that do not use exchanges are leaving money on the table. I prefer matchbook but also use tradebetx and mansion.

I agree with this, but find it quite ridiculous, especially when it comes to MANSION exchange....

placing a Wager on the Mansion exchange is just like placing a wager at a normal book? how is that confusing?:icon_conf

Well if he was off base, you would hardly be here touting the book now would you? Or could it be that Mansion is making so much money they are itching to give it away? NOT!!!

If one is able to swing it, MANSION and MATCHBOOK are both lucrative outs to have!

Mansion

Been hearing great things about the #s available @ MANSION for some time now.Everything sounds like this spot is a definite "out" I could use but does anyone have any concerns about their solvency.Their a relatively young Exchange offering #s that are hardly available anywhere else that advertises that they are trying to keep straddles tight & margins thin.Plus, owners are quite new to the business & they have changed their business structure alot since opening.Would think a bigger bankroll would be needed (risking more of UR cash if their are problems) by the player @ Mansion to take advantage of offerings when they come available.Anyone know if they offer "credit" if U are fronted in strong ?

No disrespect to MANSION as I realize they offer many things unavailable @ other places .Would like for anyone to speak up if they have any background info that would put my ?s to rest.Probably will join soon but would like other opinions on this issue 1st.Exchanges &\or Sportsbooks go under in Europe too as several Exchanges have gone under recently. Thanks for any input - GL

Unless you want to bet teasers. After 3 weeks Mansion has banned a player from betting teasers. Memo to the shit heads at Mansion: You cannot determine a player is a winner at betting teasers after 3 NFL weekends. Are you kidding me? Mansion should be embarrassed.

this is the first I have heard of this shop booting a player....

they do have good teaser odds, so I can see it as being true. As long as they pay... I got no problem with that.

bad lieutenant,

from what I have heard the owner is very rich, not sure if that is true, but if in fact he is a respected business man I doubt he stiffs anyone, furthermore, nobody has complained of even a SLOW PAY....

finally, it is all about RISK vs REWARD.... best not to keep to much funds at any ONE shop.... for me I try not to keep more than 1 or 2K at mansion, if they were to go under tomorrow & not pay.... sure it would suck, but it woudnt SINK me.

I can see them booting a teaser guy ( from Fezzik's site), if you're crossing 3 and 7 , betting max. They'll take the dumb teasers, not the good ones. I doubt much gets bet on the book side anymore.

They can't justify booting an exchange player since they claim not to be seeding the exchange. I'm a big fan of Mansion, just not certain they are profitable.

Their model promotes excessive NT transactions, which cost them Money. Owner- man reputed to be Asian billionaire cigarette-nazi.

Always a great-pay shop, but they don't advertise at all, from what I see. This adds to uncertainity about them.

It's a bad cycle, IMO. Everybody pulling money to be cautious, sharps taking any soft numbers for very large.

I'm not sure they will be around in a few years, but if they exit, I think they do it with honor.

Guys. Using the Exchange Mansion is not difficult. Putting your mind to it for about 10 minutes, it can easily be understood.

I use Mansion Exchange and always get great prices. More often than not, my offers are matched.

See some old Mansion threads where Trytrytry comments about them. Don't get me wrong, I like Mansion, a lot.
