Depends on the site in question obviously, but the vast majority of time, have no problem with it and do not find it unethical.

Rio Shill has given the ok in his contest, it should be up to the book...that contest in particular wasn't taking a prize from anyone else.

I don't see any problem with a Mod winning those kind of contests.

IT IS, but most mod's would let the posters get in on a good one first. If their is a post-up required and a spot is needed to be filled it's allmost a requirement and part of their job.

If it was a random draw like a lottery or something there would be an issue. But when you are picking games before start time where no rigging can take place I dont see why anyone would have a problem.

If we're talking ETHICS, I don't think it is ethical for me to be gambling offshore and telling Western Union that I know the person I am sending money to.

Also, I don't think it is ethical for me to be taking 20% bonuses and scalping my way to rollovers and taking ANOTHER 20% bonus from the book where I lost the scalp.

So as far as the moderator question is concerned, I don't think it is ethical for me to even judge them until I am clean.

Dante, it is definitely possible. I know from first hand experience. However, for the most part, as long as all selections are posted before hand where all can see, I have no problem with them participating in the contests.

:lolBIG: Please explain how its possible to rig the actualy outcome of a game where your picking Props Ron??? ANY edit after 5 mins stamps the POST automatically from the software and that can not be edited out

PLUS anything done to ANY post has a log of what happened to it that the HEAD mod can see and is a permanent LOG

no worries sam

NO way I think im perfect sam....but in this FORUM WORLD I would never do and have never done anything dishonest to anyone ....so I do take slight offense to it..... HONOR and INTEGRITY of ones self and actions is all one has in the forums and I happen to value the fact I have that

But I am sure you are unaware that the site administrator can set the time at which a post can be edited without it being stated on the post. I can give several other ways a contest can be rigged by unscrupulous operators if you want me to as I was involved in uncovering an ingenious scam run on another site.
