FWIW, booster that is with the team in Fresno says he is not starting. He has a concussion from Temple game. More about this in a thread started by myself in CFB. Hellah10 was also told this news.

this game smirks of bowling green from last week.. Only difference is that toledon never quite slipped up against teams from the bottom 10 of the NCAA.

they took care of business and came out clear winners. Only problem is, question marks at Qb and how they will stack up against real football team.

Fresno state is not some pansy team who just walk up to fresh from pee wee football and hope to cover even 14!!!!

Prediction here (game i am not betting tonight) Fresno state clobbers some one!!!

I played toledo team total under 26 and would rather have a hurt starter try to make a go of it than a healthy backup.

Offensive playcalling is usually way more conservative. Just look at Jets with Pennington past 3 weeks. No offense.

After this game i am seriously rethinking my Texas Tech-16 for this weekend!!!!

This game along with bowling green is evidence that you should not bet on a team coming off preseason games with bush league schools!!!

But question remains, would Toledo be this bad if the starting Qb was in?

how much more sucessful would the running game be if they had to watch for a pass threat?

does the toledo RB get that many carries if his Qb is healthy and trusted by the coaches?

I have to say however, some people went into this game claiming the system used by Toledo is the reason for their sucess and that it wouldnt matter who was behind the center...

Now when it comes to texas tech, this is not a myth, it is a statement of fact.

the run game will probably gain 6 yds a carry at least plut the pass game should be clicking on say 5 cylinders not six because they are yet to face a real opponent!!
