anybody use them ? They offer dvd rentals by mail. Free 14-day trial. Code is RENTALS2

www.netflix.com/specialoffer

They ship and give you pre-paid return envelope for return. Various monthly plans from $9.99 ( one dvd at a time) to $17.99 (3). Ships quick ( they claim). Unlimited movies, only limit is how fast you get the shipping cycle going.

Sounds good to me, I signed up.

They are PUTTING A HURTIN on Blockbuster & other "Brick & Mortar" rental stores.

Free shipping both ways, envelopes provided, and I don't think there are any late fees either....people around here absolutely love Netflix.

No late fees. You make a list of movies you want, and they ship the next one(s) when you return the ones you have out. Major hurt for the video store !

Doug, I am no longer a member but not because they did anything wrong....I woud reccomend them highly! They do come quick...

Best thing to do is how my cousin does it.....he has 3 out at a time......as soon as he gets em, he copies it and sends it right back, that way he can get alot of movies in one month.....

pretty cool feature is going online and searching their database for movies and selecting what you want to come next....

I use NETFLIX. I love 'em

I send 3 movies back Tuesday I have 3 new ones Thursday

My top movies in QUE are always the ones I get never any BS ones from the bottom

A+++

*You might not get the same super quick turn around times, since I am so close. But you will be happy with them.

Not worth starting a thread over 11-17 bucks IMO! but BOL

Is cost comparable ? I guess they'd have the advantage of no shipping costs.

funny thing is, netflix raised their prices, then Blockbuster came out and they lowered them even lower than they were originally....i think they are the same now, but don't remember, it's been a while....

Not sure what you mean....Blockbuster doesnt charge shipping either plus you get something like 3 movies (old ones) a month in store free...

Ironically, I think all of these companies are headed for rough waters in this market. It can't be too long before cable & dish companies offer the exact same thing without the hassle of mailing or waiting for movies.

I mean how much does Blockbuster charge for their monthly fee ? Is it comparable to Netflix' $9.99 ? You could easily get more than 3 a month with NF using the one at a time plan.

Same way they do it with PPV events. Just make the fee structure the same as Netflix & the others are, and you simply choose the movie you want to see.

I can't believe they haven't done it yet.

From what they sent me it seems you can get 1 movie at a time for the $9.99 price. If you go to $12.99 a month they send you 3 at once. I think there is one more price increase to send you more than that. They claim to get you your movies within one day most of the time. In the San Diego area they ship from SAnta Ana! I would imagine you can get 7-8 movies a month, so up to 4 on the trial offer. Not a bad deal if you like to continuously watch movies.

I thought there was some security thing now which prevents copying ( burning) recent dvd's ? Is there a way around it ?

You get whatever plan you want free on the trial. I took the $17.99 3 movie unlimited. I'll either cancel or reduce to the $9.99 plan. 3 is the max.
