I have been Black Listed.................

After 8 years of using Western Union for Deposits and Payouts they have black listed me because of sending money to sportsbooks...sucks!!!

I had stopped using them for deposits...since money gram is cheaper, and was using them for withdrawls. I tried to make a w/d from my book and they said that my name was flagged due to gambling....assholes!!!

I wonder if they can look at your neteller under the patriot act.

I think this has been adressed before, but does anyone know the answer?

I think they give the US full compliance if I'm not mistaken.

When I asked why they said that I tried to receive $$ from a sender that was flagged for gambling. They asked me to fax over something that would state why I was receiving the $$ from this person. I told them to Fuck themselves and hung up...was able to have the book redirect the $$ to a freinds name and he just received the $$....so alls not lost

You have to register a bank account to use netteller...not an option for me since I own a buissness and dont want to be audited by the IRS for tax evasion. If you use netteller that could happen to you...

Thats ok, happened to me a few months back, FUCK Western Union...Backwards ass assholes!

They ask too many questions, cost TOO much, regardless if the book picks it up, and are a hassle in general to deal with NETELLER 100% or nothing at all....maybe bank wire, but that leaves a trace!

You only need to use a bank for a certified NT acct, you can request checks with an uncertified acct.

Also, I find it hard to believe WU leaves less of a paper trail.

neteller and patriot act

They can't look at Neteller under the Patriot act simply because Neteller doesn't really exist in the states.. Neteller only has operational centers in Canada, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, England, and Isle of Man, and once your funds are cleared (using a Canadian bank), they are whisked away to some european bank. Not much contact with US soil.

My accontant told me that all long as you certify a bank account you are subject to an IRS audit. Might be wrong info but not willing to risk my company just to find out that I was wrong later...thanks for the info though:toast:

WU is nothing but a pain in the a$$, they cost me a big winner earlier this summer...mase me wait on hold , treated me like crap and had 4 dimes of my money...meanwhile the game started and I didn't get to play the game.

pretty helpless feeling and those pricks treated me like I was a criminal, rude and made me wait on hold forever.

You can't blame WU because they are coming under increasing pressure from the governement to track down gambling transactions.

If they don't, they will be getting a heavy fine from big brother, similiar to what Paypal got.

Jman you are from MD as well. We can't use neteller. What do you use?

this might be a long shot but what prevents the following scenario from happening

"sir, we have reason to believe that you are funding terrorist operations/are engaged in money laundering, show us what these transactions mean and you better do it now or else.........."

they don't have to look at netellers database..........

Also they can certainly apply pressure, otherwise they wouldnt have that little "No accounts from MD" disclaimer
