AL Three Way Tie??

I think I know the answer, but want to confirm.

If the Tribe and Sox both win 2 of 3 this weekend, there is a 3way tie between NY, BOS and CLE.

The NY/BOS playoff for division would officially be Game 163 and the loser would then be 1/2 game behind Tribe for Wild Card, thus ending their (the loser on Monday) season.

IS this a correct analysis?

Word on the street is that if all three are tied, NY and Boston play on Monday for the division title. Loser plays Cleveland on Tuesday for the wild card.

yeah - they had coinflips. I don't know the result of all the flips, but NYY hosts the Red Sox if those two are tied.

if Boston were to beat NY on Monday, Ny goes to Clev to play and if NY were to beat Boston, Clev comes to Boston.....

Looks like Cleveland would get the short end of the stick. Boston and New York would each get at least two games to win one. Cleveland only gets one game to win one.

you can look at it that way - or cleveland has the advantage because nyy/bos have to burn more pitchers monday meaning fewer to use tuesady while indians have monday off and can throw fresher pitchers - and should nyy play @ indians it also means nyy has to get on a plane after monday's game and fly to cleveland - which is 1 more disadvantage

i do think all 3 will tie @ 95-67 and nyy and cleveland will move on
