with everyone busy with college football, i thought it might be fun to think back to games that "should have been"...
there are probablly hundreds, but off the top of my head i recall a few:
1) anyone remember a few months back when the yanks were at cleveland? indians were winning in the 9th inning by 1 run and a-rod and giambi went back to back to pull it out ...that game was huge for the yanks...
2) ohhhhh the philliies...there are so many but here are 2 that kind of cancel each other out...about a month ago when houston was in philly..phillies up by 1 in the 9th and wagner gives up 3 run 2 out shot by biggio and phillies lose that one.....and just last week, phillies 5 run 9th, capped by david bells 2 run 2 out shot that won the game for the phillies against the reds...
3) red sox...8th inning lead 2 weeks ago blown in tampa by horrid red sox bullpen....i really think they wish they could have that one back...
i am sure there are so many, feel free to contribute to this thread as i am sure the 25 of us in the bases forum can remember alot, thought this would be fun...
