I'm feeling kind of dumb today fellas. This is the first time that I have seen a ML that is not displayed as, for intance -230. Here is an example. If I had a $100 ML bet on the fav, what would I win (and how is it calculated?). Please do the same calc for me if I was taking the dog....

Oregon 1.37
Stanford 3.38

Is this something new? Since pinny always seems to be known for being sharp, why are they doing this?
Just trying to understand why they would switch from the "standard" format....

everyone's input would be greatly appreciated....

thanks,

If I remember it correctly if you were to select Stanford 3.38, you would receive $3.38 per $1 wagered ($2.38 in winnings plus your $1 wagered).

If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me......

You must have clicked on the "Decimal Pricing" link. Just look for the link labeled "American Pricing" on the left-hand side. That will get you back to whole numbers.

As far as decimal pricing being easier to calculate, that may be true for numbers at 2.00 and above. Once you get below 2 it gets more difficult.

Ladeda: I wouldn't go that far, I'm an American myself. Just here on a contract and hope to be home soon. Here they throw the fraction line and it's like going back to school.

Hello my friend "quantumleap". Did you get my baseball play today?

Not really, (1 x 1.83 = 1.83) anything to the right of the decimal is your winning. Now, that's if you win.

It's easier to calculate parlays. I understand it, but prefer the USA style I'm used to.

I didn't get your baseball play. :(

I didn't realize you could calculate winnings that easily in decimal odds. I always thought you had to subtract from 2.00 and do a calculation from there.

Thanks.
