Westward-Ho closing its doors November, 17th 2005 at 5pm

Just got a letter stating this. This was my first place I stayed in Vegas 4 years back.

Something about this old place I liked, sure wasn't the blackjack, just had that vegas feel.

Vegas is going to corporate, soon we will have nothing but big mega resorts, and the whole "Vegas Style" will be gone.

Mermaid and myself were invited into Sportsbook Directors Tony Neville office at the Frontier where we got the entire lowdown on what is planned for the Frontier down the road.

Poster Mr Vision, assistant manager there, also joined us in the lengthy conversation.

In a short span, Mermaid learned alot about the business of bookmaking in Vegas.

I spent a glorious three months dealing blackjack on graveyard at the Ho. Had some wild after work parties at a few bars. They are going to build another freaking condo on the property. I think we should just change the name of the city to MGM/Harrahs.
