What are common things you hear said on sports broadcasts that drive you nuts? For me, it's when a player breaks a long run and the announcer says "IT'S A FOOT RACE!" REALLY? NO SH**. Like they're gonna jump on bicycles at the 30 yard line so it will be a BIKE race. SHUT UP! Leave the "FOOT" out of it!

the one i hate the most by far (because it happens at least once a game) is when they say "if he doesn't make that tackle, its a touchdown".

they say this when a guy catches a screen pass on the 50 yard line and there are like 3 dbs running to kill the guy.

In being a former broadcaster, sports and news, I'm probably as critical as anyone. But I will say, it looks alot easier than it is. Using cliches too much is very aggrivating. i did radio, and just tried to paint a picture of the game, for the listener. I did hundreds of games over a 20 year plus career. Might get back into someday, but not in the near future.
