I know this is after the fact but I thought it might help someone in the future.

San Diego didn't want to be the first team to have a .500 record going into the playoffs. On Saturday they were 81-80. Certainly they would try their best on Sunday even though they had the division locked up. Sure enough they won on Saturday improving their record to 82-80.

This just goes to show an instance of where a team would work extra hard to win a game.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

i applied this theory to the angles and white sox game...sort of...i knew they were fighting for home adv through out....didnt have much faith in the pads....this team cant hit, especially at home, imo!!!

plenty of time for winning starting tomorrow!!

I'd tried some of that logic Friday night by taking the Indians. I think I even said I'd be surprised if they didn't sweep the series. Not just wrong, but WAY wrong.

Jeff Kent wasn't even playing. The Dodgers lineup over the weekend resembled a class a club.

Word of caution: Don't let the underdog Padres get you too excited. They suck.
