No better place than to share my insights on a Halloween here with my forum mates.

Ok, I cannot stand this holiday. Now let me re-phrase that..............

I like the Candy, I like FALL, I like the Kids for the most part. I hate handing out the candy. I not much for walking around tricker treating. Hey I do everything with my son of 6, But The whole Halloween thing just makes me sick!!. I also do not like the Knocking on doors and the whole neighborhood trapsing threw your yard, and the fake ""How are you's" and all this crap. Then I have to inspect my KIDS candy, and then I eat half of it, which is OK.

So there you have it!!

AM I the HALLOWEEN SCROOGE???? The Grinch of Halloween????

Hey I know many really like the social setting within this holiday, and I love the bar crawl on Halloween, but I would dread wearing a custom

Have you seen all the skanks running around at Halloween parties, scantily clad, dressing as "Playboy bunnies", or "devils", or "hookers" and the like?
I love this godless holiday and the candy!

(And by candy, I ain't talkin about no Hershey's)

I do not consider it a holiday if you do not get the day off of work.

Go down to Mexico and experience the "day of the dead" that will give you a new perspective.

I'll tell you what I really hate about Halloween....costs me like $75 for the kids to buy costumes to wear for an hour....not many things make me more mad than that....sure I want the kids to have fun, but that's silly....

NOT TRUE!

Next your going to tell stories about all the kids that find "stuff" in their candy and that is just not true either....

I'm with Juice on this one...put on a monk's robe, go to a party, get wasted, and have 6'11 giant Torin Francis walk up to you and say "forgive me father for i have sinned....i'm a baad man."
and then get more drunk and grind on some random girls.
My only regret? Halloween's on a Monday this year :( oh well...

If I can turn Saint Patrick's day into a holiday, it's not TOO much of a stretch to turn Halloweek into a holiday.

Don´t like kids, but Love candy...
For me, it´s just like Valentine´s day, meaningless crappy celebration, good for shops only.
Where I live, instead of kids asking for candy, you may see brats throwing eggs to nice houses, punks!

EVERY word you wrote Newport could have come straight out of my mouth. Halloween is a chore more than holiday.

Only thing I might have added is the huge pain it is to get the kids into bed after they're all jacked up on candy. PLUS, there's a Monday night NFL game on and I'll be getting up over and over to answer the door. Pain in the ass holiday.

Of course my kids love it...

Agreed ! LAst year i said i was going to do better for the kids. So i go to Wal-Mart and buy 2 big bags of candy. First 2 little girls dresses as angels rang doorbell i just dumped about half in ones sack and the other half into the other little girls sack. BOTH mothers looked at me and said "Did you mean to do that". i said yes please close the gate on your way out!!! Turned off porchlight and said well i did better this year !
