Peavy can be very tough and should keep Pads close. Carpenter was hit hard several times in September. Not sure if he just had a letdown after Cards clinched or if he's tired. If he pitches like in September, we should get our upset.

I simply don't like the Cardinals without Rolen. He was like their rock.

They still have decent players.. HOWEVER Tons of injuries

I am hoping for a Padres offensive explosion behind their Ace.

I agree. With Reyes out for the playoffs, it puts even more pressure on an already suspect pen. Hopefully the starters can either go deep into the game or the offense puts up enough runs that it doesn't matter.

Offense

Some days they do some days they don't. Played the SD under @home for about 30 games and hit 24 out the 30 I played. But they have been hitting better late in the season.

peavy only 19 pitches through 2....one of those 19 was a bad one though....lets get em in the 3rd!! gonna be tough with pitcher leading off.
