Is it that obvious who I like...Pettitte will win the game but I look for a low scoring affair maybe 3-2 or 4-2 Houston...JMO

They tried but just like all year they failed to get the job done. In the words of all Cubs fans "wait till next year".:lolBIG:

I think any team that struggles against the Cubs can't fair well against the Braves.

Braves are a much better team IMO.

I would take Houston to win the 1st and Atlanta to win the rest.

FYI:
Atlanta is 29-28:monsters- since the beginning of August and closed the regular season with a four-game losing streak and seven wins in its last 19 games.
Houston has been playing playoff baseball since the all sar break...

A lot of people were saying the same thing about St. Louis before todays game..............lackluster performance down the stretch especially from Carpenter who did not win his last 4 starts................

But they clinched - like ATL.................Houston HAD TO play for their post-season lives to the last day..............
Houston did not win a game IN ATLANTA this year..............and Pettitte and Hudson's away and home numbers look pretty similar:

Hudson spent some time on the DL this year but still found time to go 14-9 in 29 starts with a 3.52 ERA. Pettitte was 17-9 in 33 starts for the Astros and had an ERA of 2.39.
On the road he was 7-5 with a 2.69 ERA while Hudson was 7-4, 3.39 at home.

HOUSTON and ATLANTA both had INCREDIBLE records AT HOME this year, and I think that edge will definately go to ATLANTA tomorrow. I think ATLANTA is a better team at creating runs than HOUSTON is - just ask CLEMENS.........
But this one is a REAL toughy to figure out.............my lean is to ATLANTA and I would have LOVED it IF you had also liked them as you have certainly had the handle on your beloved ASTROS through the month of SEPT where you are sporting the best record I have seen through the toughest month I have seen...................
Looking forward to seeing your continued success...........:toast:

Hopefully you'll like CWS again tomorrow...............we shall see...............

Houston did not win a game IN ATLANTA this year..............and Pettitte and Hudson's away and home numbers look pretty similar:

1st Objection: SDG does not have Houston's pitching staff. Pettite who starts today is the hottest pitcher in the NL since the allstar break. Clemens' 1.87 ERA was the best in baseball. Oswalt finished third in the NL in victories with a 20-12 record, and closer Brad Lidge had 42 saves

2nd Objection: ATL has gone 5-1 vs Hou this year...but those games took place while houston started out 15-30...but aince those games houston is 74-43...the best record in the majors.

Knowing my luck they will lose this game...since I hyped it up...but Houston should not be taken lightly...because the do win...

Braves on the comeback trail with big 2 run hr from Andruw Jones! Far from over my friend though Stros have looked good early on but that is why they play 9 innings and Braves have the momentum!
