I keep it and give it away in a contest here at TheRX that takes 8 months for somebody to win.

At some point you miss that ball though...those playoff and WS stamps are kind of unique keepsakes IMO.

basically you risk a broken hand to fire the ball back after keeping it for 6.8 seconds of glory.

One night on sportscenter they showed someone who did this, but he actually grabbed a different ball and threw it back. Very good thinking, but he got caught!

No you don't, you get one and then give it to the closest kid you can find. Classy move Fisher.

At Wrigley, if you don't throw it back, you're in for a long day in the bleachers.

McIrish and I were at a game a couple years ago and in the span of three pitches, got two foul balls!!

The amazing thing was we were sitting in a semi-crowded section a good 90 feet past the firstbase bag some 50 rows up.

Simply amazing!

On that note does anyone have a post season ball they have kept?

I still have my 1979 WS Ball 76th World Series with Bowie K.Kuhn stamped on it.:103631605

For some reason the ball sits on my desk all year long but come ,its the only time I ever really notice it...and every year I think to myself how long ago that was now...

I think I will take the ball to my grave. :suomi: dead serious.

Got an idea!

Next year run a contest and have posters attempt to pick a TRIFECTA in a Nascar race and if they do...........the ball is theirs!!
