Any of the anchors hard to get along with??? I always wonder about some of these guys when I watch them......

Also I dont mind if you dont want to answer but what does a job like Production assistant pay???

You worked there when Craig Kilborn and Charlie Steiner were still there???

Kilborn - NO. Steiner - YES! I would sometimes run the prompter for the show. Steiner spoke VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY slowly so sometimes producers would ask (demand) we ran the prompter faster to get Charlie to move things along. things are now automated but it was a thankless high pressure job for if you "bag" (make them look bad) talent they would let you - and others - know about it after the show. BY FAR Gary Miller was THE WORST to deal with. he would wait until the last second to do everything leaving us scranbling big time. John Saunders was BY FAR THE BEST!

Don't know what it pays now - but in 1991 I made $7.50 per hour but frequently put in at least 20 hours a week of OT @ $11.25 an hour. doesn't sound like much but my rent was about $350/month so i was able to get pay and save money very easily. long distance calls to family was made at espn and the 3 hour time difference helped - and having friends call the 800-number also helped

MOST anchors were cool. Berman was super cool. Dan Patrick also cool as well as John Saunders. Some of the "no names" no longer there were cool, too - those who worked the late SC had a camaraderie to all - since the show was done LIVE @ 2:30A and we rarely got out of there before 3:30/4A. my goal was to make it home and to bed before the sun came up. Tom Mees was someone I really looked forward to working with but one incident changed all that and I HATED him after that and this one incident might have played some role in me no longer being there. i am NOT happy he died - but i didn't shed a tear when it happened.

my e-mail addy is above this message if you wish to talk more - i'd rather do it that was from now on
