I noticed many people talking about getting value on betting on a particular baseball playoff game yesterday and each time I saw them losing the game soundly. I believe in value on a play but I don't force it. If it works out there is value after handicapping a particular game than so be it. To me the most important 3 factors in playoff baseball betting in no particular order:
1. pitching matchups
2. homefield
3. Motivation/Mental Edge/Elimination Games, etc.

Though baseball is not my best sport for wagering, I often find that I am average during the year on selections but come playoff time excel. To me no matter how much value there is on a game if you really don't think they can win, don't bet a game because the value is there. BOL and would like to see if anyone thinks along the same lines.

I laugh when I read the word VALUE in ones thread.Very, very few gamblers understand the true meaning of VALUE.We have to give the oddsmakers a little more credit.Everything you know, they know.Do you really think there is value in a MLB playoff game.Please.True professionals do not bet MLB playoff games for any serious coin. Why? Because there is no VALUE.

Value=when one is getting at least 2/1 and he has a 50/50 chance of winning
Its not easy to find. But when you do,hit it and hit it hard.
