OU's offensive line are all in a 4-point stance. They cut block on every play while they run option. Looks more like 1869 football. Makes you wonder what this game is gonna be like 35 years from today, and what today's games will look like on 100 inch high-def tv's on ESPN Classic in 2040.

I like it...

Is that Chris Shenkel?

First glimpse it does not look that old.

I'm younger than you, but I've never seen an offensive lineman in a 4-point stance until today. Have you? Hilarious.

I have actually, but seeing it reminded me...also sounds like a young Keith Jackson?

Schenkel and Jackson on the call....Steve Owen wasn't he a Heisman Trophy winner?

Keith Jackson sounds like he's wispering.

Did you see the ref enforce that face mask penalty?

Hilarious, he just took off running with the ball.

One camera for the TV coverage. They run a play, you see them unpile, go back to the huddle and then get set for the next play from scrimmage...all in one camera shot. No break aways to pan the audience or anything like that.

Weird looking Texas helmets.

I was about 80 days old when this was played.

That Bud Wilkenson with Schenkel. Wilkenson was the coach of Oklahoma back in the 50's when they won 47 straight. And Schenkel died last week.
Steve Owens was the Heisman Trophy winner, I believe in 1968.

Back in the day the president actually decided the national championship in a tiebreaker...can you imagine George Bush deciding who wins the NC now?

The real classic game that seaon was Tex 15 Ark 14 when Texas scored two 4th qtr TDs. Both teams I believe were undefeated at time or Ark had one loss--game was for SWC championship at least and maybe national title implication for Razorbacks as well. 4 point stance was in vogue until mid 70's, particularly option running teams that included Bama with Johnny Musso in late 60s

Paterno qoute about '69: "How could Nixon know so much about football in 1969 and so little about watergate in 1973."! And Joe is a republican.
