El Duque finally set to retire

Multiple sources have stated that Orlando Hernandez is finally expected to officially retire.
El Duque hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2007, but has been trying repeatedly to make a comeback despite being in the neighborhood of 42-years-old.* When he defected from Cuba to join Major League Baseball in 1997, he claimed to be 28-years-old, but recently leaked divorce papers show that he was at least four years older at the time of his defection, and there are still more rumors that he is even older.
Hernandez is one of the most celebrated and decorated Cuban players in baseball.* He was a key part in three World Series championships for the New York Yankees in 1998, 1999, and 2000, and he also won another championship with the Chicago White Sox in 2005.* Over the course of his nine major league seasons, he went 90-65 with an ERA of 4.13.* Over that timeframe he also registered 1,086 strikeouts, compared to 479 walks.
He was a 17-game winner in 1999, and was also the ALCS MVP for New York that year as well.
