What was the odds to win the 2004 NLCS for Boston when they were down 0-3 to Yankees?

My friend and I were arguing over this and I was curious to see how much it was for the Bo Sox to win the series after 0-3. I know they were favored to win at the beginning of the Series because I had a small play on them, and was already counting it as a loss after they went down 0-2!

Who can help me out???

MSU,

I don't know what the price was on the Bosox but I do know the Yankess were -200. I know this because a sick gambler "friend" of mine bet $100,000 to win $5,000 on the Yanks using his credit account at a large offshore book.

If you can calculate the take back then you've got you're answer.

I am the man for this................I was prasing myself for getting the Red Sox at 6-1 to win the WS before it started.......The fav was the Yanks then the Cards then the Red Sox....... I know they were'nt favored before the playoffs started because was looking at book after book to find the best prices.........

After they fell behind the Yanks.......I remember looking at the 4 teams left at it read

NY +2-1
StL +3-1
Houston +8-1........they were down 2-1
Boston +20-1...................these were prices to win the World Series

I remember that moment how smart I tought I was in getting the Red Sox at a good price of 6-1.............AND NOW AFTER GETTING BEAT LIKE 18-6 IN FENWAY IN GAME 3.........NOW THEY WERE 20-1 FOR THE SAME TASK.......SO YOUR ANSWER IS 20-1..........A YEAR LATER AND I STILL CANT BELIEVE THEY WON 4 IN A ROW.......

so they were only 20-1 to win the World Series when they were down 0-3 in the ALCS?

I would have thought they would have been higher! What book did you use for that?

I checked with a few but remember they still had 2 games at homes then 2 games in NY.........then they had the home field advantage in the WS.

So that probably kept the odds down somewhat.......if they would have had 4 gms left in NY it would have been a lot higher. Also Schilling and Pedro would be pitching 2 of the 4 games vs NY which would also keep the line down somewhat.
