His Record Obviously Does Not Reflect He Is The Worst Coach But I Believe That They Won Despite Martz Not Because Of Him Because Of All The Talent. His Talent Evaluation Imo Is Poor And He Surrounds Himself With Poor Coaches Especially On Defense. Since Lovie Smith Left Defense Has Been Horrible. His Worst Decision As Head Coach Was To Hire His Good Friend Larry Marmie As Defensive Coordinator From Arizona Who Was Fired And His Defenses Were Some Of The Worst In The League Out In The Desert. He Has Gone Thru About 5 Special Teams Coaches And Many Defensive Coaches. His On Field Decision Making Was Lousy To Say The Best And His Lack Of Discipline For His Players Except For Ones That Opposed Him Like Kurt Warner Was Very Obviously. If Leonard Little Would Have Played For Bellichick Or Parcells, He Would Have Been Suspended Or Dropped From Team See Quincy Carter. He Still Is A Great Offensive Coordinator But His Ego, Talent Evaluation, Leadership, And Handling Of The Media Is The Worst Of Any Coach I Can Remember. Hopefully This Will Be Permanent As A Way To Let Him Bow Out Gracefully.
Turns out he has endocarditis.. That is the same exact illness that started my heart troubles 10 years ago. I find it hard to believe that he even was able to coach yesterday. Even though he is a bad coach i wish him well as endocartis is nothing to mess with. It almost killed me and always leave some sort of residual damage afterwards as the bacteria grows (vegetates) on and permanently damages whatever heart valve it is affecting. If his case in anything like mine he has 2 weeks of in hospital antibiotic iv therapy heading his way. The illness is no joke and if i remember right winds up being fatal 30% of the time when caught early and almost always fatal when caught late...
