I don't understand what the fascination with hating the elite players is? We used to see it with Roger, we get it will A-Rod and Bonds.

Ortiz manages only a single in the sweep game -- does that mean he's suddenly gone from MVP caliber to crapola? Of course not. Especially not in a 5 gamer.

I dont think contreras would have had nearly the season he did as a Yank.

I think the bright lights big city that never sleeps pressure of NY was getting to Jose. I think going to CWS was huge key to his '05 success.
