Everyone was hammering C.Rica vs. USA when the Ticos needed the game to qualify and US was resting players and not motivated.

Seems Wed. the shoe is on the other foot with Guatemala needing the 3 points, and Costa Rica still hung over from celebrating their qualifying and not needing the points.

Guatemala sets up as a 2-0 or 3-0 winner. No disrespect to Costa Rica, but this scenario seems logical.

Guatemala with 3 early goals and coast to an easy 3-1 win.

The teams I listed went 8-1-1 with only Slovenia as a -107 favorite not winning. Chile drew as a -210 fave.

GD:

I hate to rain on your parade but a lot of those teams were from -800 to -1000 for the win (for the European teams). I believe out of the teams you list, only the Czechs and Spain beat the spread.

Good call on the Guatemalans. I thought they had been eliminated. Same with T&T. Thanks for bringing up those 2.

Leo Beenhakker has this side starting to play some better soccer over the last couple of months. I expect the Warriors to put the pressure on Bahrain by winning the first leg in Port Of Spain. If they can pull it off, then Marcelo Balboa's "Shot Heard Round The World" of 1989 will be a distant memory.

Quantum,

Spain and Sweden were big faves on the ML, can't remember Denmark off the top of my head.
All the rest were around -250 or less.
