Playoff Record 0-2

I'm due for a winner. LOL.

I really like the Over in tonight's game. For sides I feel tonight is a Chisox -1.5 or no bet. I don't like that the whole public is on ChiSox, so I say no bet on the sides. I just can't put hard earned money on the Angels for this game just to be anti-public. The Angels would have to put together a pretty miraculous effort to take Game 1 in Chicago after flying to three different cities in 3 days. That takes a serious toll on your body. This is not a must-win game for the Angels, and they are emotionally, mentally and physically exhausted. I think they play off some adrenaline tonight...how much? We'll find out. But Chicago takes tonight's game 8 out of 10 times.

I think the Over is a solid play.

6 out of 7 contests between Angels and Sox went Over in Chicago this year. Byrd got ripped in Chicago, he had a bad outing in the playoffs at NY, he's struggling on the road. Pitchers are just like hitters: they get into slumps too. I think the White Sox get at least 5 or 6 tonight. Contreras is not a dominant ace. Angels will play off some adrenaline and get a few runs to keep it competitive. Contreras struggled a bit versus the Angels this year, and he actually pitched worse at home than on the road this year. It seems like these two clubs may have their opposing pitchers numbers and we could have some runs put up tonight.

5 units Angels/Sox OV 8.5

I agree as I expect some very aggressive baseruuning by both clubs and that usually results in runs.

Since I like laying heavy chalk why don't you just buy the runs down to over 0.5 runs for the game at -75000:dancefool

What if you were a million dollar a game bettor like the guy in the movie TWO FOR THE MONEY. What would you win to lay those odds? :suomi:

wouldnt the same logic have to apply for the over as you are giving the sox as an easy win?? lets say the angels are tired granted, but that only makes for less runs... the pitcher will not be tired like the players so he possible pitches very well I feel the over would be the square betters play. the over will have to be based on chicago covering all of it themselves...

gl on your play....

As stupid as this sounds, because the unders and the underdogs are usually the sharp plays, I feel the under is the square play. Like you just said, everyone is saying the Angels are too tired, and they won't hit, and they're jet lagged and 3 games in 3 days and 3 cities in 3 days, bla bla. This is obvious common sense type thinking, which is why I am scared to take the ChiSox, especially at that line. I would consider them on the run line, but that's about it.

While that is all true, I think the Angels play off some adrenaline tonight, but adrenaline only takes you so far. This is Game 1 of the ALCS, so fatigue isn't an option. This is a new series and the Angels will be pumped. This is the ALCS, no such thing as an easy win. But I do feel the ChiSox take this game with the same situation much more times than not. I have no play on the side.

But considering the pitchers' past histories, the White Six lineup, neither pitcher is dominant, Byrd has been struggling, the previous games in this matchup have gone over, ChiSox score at home, etc I like the Over.

Maybe I misunderstood your post?

Good luck buddy.

Hope I didnt jinx your pick...

I was only pointing out that some cappers look for an edge or external reason for a win.. tonights angels fatigue factor(exp).. If it was a factor for a sox play to win, it should also have factored in a low scoring game. I felt that if the angels put a few on the board this would have tilted the over. some numbers correlate with wins and loses.. the key is to seperate emotion from facts..

Gl tomorrow another angels win brewing......

You didn't jinx anything. I've been terrible in post-season baseball this year, which is a great thing...I've become a great fade.

Check out my picks sometime and lets roll with the opposite.
