Nah that's not true, it's not TV's decision, you just can't really do anything about it. Both teams are in the midwest, and you have to accomodate for the fans that attend the games.

It's difficult enough scheduling the DAYS of the game. And baseball likes to have these things done by October, so they can't put space inbetween games, like having the ChiSox play on Thursday and St Louis on Wed and Fri. They have a committment to time. So it's really not as simple as it seems. It definitely sucks, though. But I wouldn't be so quick to blame Selig or the networks.

One game in one FOX (your local game) and the other game is on FX.

Same shit happened last year if you remember correctly

The main reason that they cant skip a day between each game like the NBA does is because of the starting pitchers. In its current format, you MUST use at least 3 starting pitchers and most likely a 4th pitcher to pitch one game. If you spread out the playoffs then teams would only need 2 or 3 starting pitchers

If the other game is on FX I don't see the problem. Anyone with a remote could probably watch almost every pitch of both games if so inclined.

Regardless, you'd think that MLB would want to maximize the value of the playoff ad time by staggering the games at least an hour at the very least.

It cost the league money, a lot of viewership #'s, and sucks for the fans.

They did this last yr or two years ago ....no matter how its sliced its F'd up and sacrilegious...as a baseball fan I think this is a disgrace...the biggest games and they can't find the time to show both without overlapping?

This makes absolutley no sense.
