this line is being driven down going into the 3rd day of the week by the Irish. However, every board member is going large on USC.

Help me out.

Still at 11.5 from what I see. It did hit 11 and was bet heavy back the other way to 12 the other day, but has since settled at 11.5 and stayed there.

ND wil always be a big draw, especially when peole see them at 3-1 no matter how cupcake their schedule is.

The line is fake, as long as it isn't 14 or 10 it should even facor for most people. Because even the "squares" who want to look "sharp" take notice on games that are lined 3,7,10, and 14.

if USC wins by 7 or 70 it doesn't have anything to do with the line, or whther or not people were on them.

All I can tell you is that Pete Carroll owes the alumni a cover after last week's abortion.

This team hasn't covered 75% of their games since he got there for nothing. For a team that is something like 48-9 SU that is pretty impressive. If you throw out his first year when they were 6-5 it is even more so.

This game will draw damn near national championship attention. I wouldn't get too excited about the # float so far across the non-key numbers. Could just be some position taking early in the week fully expecting some crazy movement one way or another before Saturday.

Every tout around will probably be pushing one side or another here as 'a play'.

My early thought is under 69.

thank moi,

Personally I got it -11.5 for a DIME. Just made me a lil shakey after seeing all the opinions sway USC's way when one usually feels comfy when they're with the minority in opinion. I have to agree with ya on covering one for the alum. he's 2 weeks late.

I've played SC all season including last year's Oklahoma blowout except for laying off against AZ St. and it indeed is a perfect spot for the Trojans considering the popular consensus that the Trojans "start slow"

....well not for the big games they don't. The go for the knockout early and then pour salt, vinegar, and drano on the wounds (including the 2nd stringers) till the clock goes to 0:00.

Personally I think Carrol loves to play the class act role in front of the camera but I'm sure in the lockerroom he's looking to embaress and demoralize the oposing squad. I mean why else do you see this guy so fired up for the 7th and 8th TD of the game or the 5th sack or turnover late into the 4th quarter? You know he can't wait to throw mud in all of the college experts faces after all of this Charlie Wiess talk.:dancefool

I play ON USC every week unless I hear something to tell me not to. I have heard that twice, and both times they didn't cover. Last week heard no such thing, which makes twice this year. So either my info is getting bad, or they really did struggle in those games. But anyone that watched could see they were trying to cover them (Oregon and ASU) until it was nearly impossible to do so.

But struggle or not, comeout flat or not. I hve to think they rol up ND here. Leinart was defiantely woozey last week, not heard anything this week about it.

Bush has some stiffness, but he always does. I am thinking these little rumors have caused what little bit of line movement we have seen.

If the worte a newspaper article saying Leinhart was seeing double, and Bush sat out a couple practices, that line would go to 9 so fast your head would spin.
power of the press is a beautiful thing, especially when it spreads information/disimformation to make your line better.

How was their schedule cupcake? They were underdogs in their 4 wins (all on the road), so someone must be missing the boat here. Rest of their schedule outside of Tennessee is though.

If ND played Pitt, Purdue, or Michigan this week ND would be the favorite, as the other teams have proven to be mediocre at best, or in Pitt's case downright horrible. They were a heavy favorite at Washington.

Pre season rankings and a lot of "missing the boat" by the media. Pitt, Michigan, and Purdue are no where near as good as they were thought to be heading into the season.

@ Pitt Won 42-21
Needless to say...Pitt sucks.

@ Mich Won 17-10
Looked like a pretty impressive win until Minnesota did the same thing. Not to mention Notre Dame beat them without Hart in the backfield.

Mich State Lost 44-41
Probably their most impressive game...but keep in mind USC has a better offense and much better defense than Michigan State.

@ Washington Won 36-17
Congrats on beating the worst team in the Pac-10.

@ Purdue Won 49-28
Another very overrated team goes down to the mighty Fighting Irish.

The only team on their schedule that even has an offense is Michigan State...look what happened in that game. USC is MUCH better defensively than Michigan State.

USC wins this one by 3 TD's in my opinion. :toast:

...and maybe Notre Dame was underrated. Its not like they don't have any talent there. They do recruit against the big boys. This is the first game for USC that they don't have a major physical advantage.

You're right. I didn't get to watch that game, but they were a DD favorite.

Slim - do you think it will drop to 10? Where do you think the line will end up? I figure there will be some heavy USC money late.

ALL the Catholic Empire will be on ND come game day. Number might even slip to 10, cant see it going up from this point on in the week.

Right or wrong, believe the public side of this game will continue to be on Notre Dame. Can see the line stopping at 11, possibly go lower. Those wanting to side with USC, need only wait. However, don't see a strong movement back upward. Some buyback perhaps if it drops below 11 for possible middles.

If this line goes to 10 I'll buy the hook and triple up my account.
