The Rx. Posting Forum is scheduled to chageover to a pair of larger servers during the early hours of Thursday October 13th and Friday Oct. 14th...

At 5 a.m Eastern Thursday 13 there will be a memory Upgrade on the webserver of the forum, the upgrade will take 30 minutes.

Then on Friday Oct. 14th at 1:00 AM EDT we will switch to the new database server. That down time might take 1-2 hours.


Hopefully all will go as sceduled and you will be inconvienced as little as possible.

have you guys considered upgrading to Vbulletin 3.5? I run 3.5 for an organization that I designed a site for...and the features on 3.5 are awesome

just a thought

Hellah, I understand that everything possible to make the site easier to naviagte for posters is being done including upgrades with host V-Bulletin. Thanks for the suggestion.

Due to the nature of the change in Vbulleting 3.5 , aka gold release,
we need to be very cautious,
we will be switching to that version once some others have tested it a little more, we monitor a lot the testing grounds on the vbulletin community and there are still certain issues that could be a little problematic on such a large forum like therx.

My best guess is that we will switch to 3.5 in the next 3-4 weeks.

thanks for the heads up admin....3-4 weeks? its worth the wait

i hope the upgrades go smooth...ive done plenty of upgrades that have turned disasterous lol - gotta love the backup files
