Regardless of the call by Eddings, the Angels manager handled the situation w/ the utmost of class. Scioscia's statement that "we just didn't play well enough to win" and "we gotta give credit to Buerhle, he pitched a helluva game" were what this game is all about, class and respect.


As a White Sox fan, I will take any win you give me, but I felt for the Angels and needed to recognize their manager.


I fear if the shoe was on the other foot Ozzie Guillen would not have reacted the same way.

Can you imagine if Piniella were managing? Would've been the biggest blow up since Mt. St.Helens.

Agreed hizzy. However, some Angels fans have given him quite a bit of grief for being a nice guy when it comes to arguing calls. They feel he makes it too easy for the umps to dismiss him.
