Apologies if this belongs in the newbie section but I thought it might warrant a larger audience; For those who handicap games using mountains of data is there an industry standard software program or are you building ad hoc spreadhseets to analyze the stats?
Also;
Where do you obtain the data?
How far back do you look?

All input is GREATLY appreciated.

I have a similar question a bit further down the board.. lots of sites have the data, but writing a parser to retrieve it seems like the only way to get it into a usable format...
