Yes, 99% of the time.

Fish: are you talking DB premium ? I don't have it.

Would you trust it enough to scalp, without verifying the line first ? It might be gone by the time you do !

Doug, scalps evaporate quickly. If that's your game, you really do need DB Premium to do it. Express won't be worth shit.

Also, doesn't Pinny give DB their "credit lines" and not necessarily what they have up for the post ups?

I was more curious what Fish meant with 99%, wether he means live lines, SBR lines, Johny Detroit, etc., or the big guy ?

I don't trust the free ones too much, I use too many books that aren't on the list.

I think predicting the line move is more valuable than real-time scalps. It's real good at Mansion as you can bet huge, then free up funds by taking back the other side, before game even starts.

I use DB express so I check the lines first for sure, unless I see one clearly playable. BTW I think Express odds are better than most people give them credit for. It is all I have ever used so I definately know what I am getting and am so used to it that even when I tried the premium service for a trail basis I wanted to go back, but I am not the norm.

Randy, Express is awesome.....unless you're trying to make a living off scalps. In that case, you DEFINITELY need Premium.

DOUG--

When I get a line from a line service, I most certainly double-check the book itself to see if it is accurate.

Express is about $83 a month if you pay by the year (I think). Doug I meant that most people that scalp as often as I do would not be happy with Express, the key is nonscreen books IMHO.

Doug I did get my Roman coin. It is a Gordian silver Denarius. Very legible and $55. Not sure now what I will do with it, maybe rub it when I have a middle and need to run out the clock....GL2U

So the dealer I suggested and bolivar ( I think it was ?) worked out, well ?

Rubbing the coin won't improve it's value, but if it makes you feel good, that's OK !

I can't picture the coin, as my knowledge of Roman coins is only vaque. Is it made into a ring, necklace, anklet, or something ?

Doug, I got it from Ancient Coin. It is a plain coin in plastic. Originally I thought i wanted to make a piece of jewelry with it as the centerpiece, now I don't know, just can't see me wearing it.

Randy: I don't know that dealer, surprised you didn't buy from referenced guy, as he got support. By "in plastic" do you mean encased in a holder and authenticated and graded by PCGS, NGC, or ANACS ?

You seemed rightly concerned about authenticity ,originally. Have a local dealer look at it if in doubt, but the "local" may lack expertise. Price sounds low, to me. Can you post a photo ? If it's a PCGS coin , I can look up registry number.

Even certified ( slabbed) coins can be faked, and place into counterfeit slabs ( holders).

Maybe bolivar ( if memory serves correct) can chime in, if you request him in another thread, or his e-mail. He said he was a former president ( or similar capacity) of PNG ( Professional Numismatists' Guild), a well respected organization.

I'll see if I can find anything on a dealer called... Ancient Coin... where are they from ?

Sorry to change this from lines to ancient Roman coins ! Two really different subjects ! It wasn't meant to go that direction.

Randy: ask a mod for my e-mail, I'll do what I can for you... you'd be a good gambling contact anyhow !

This subject doesn't go in offshore, sorry for the tangent, Wil and others !

dbs2k is essential for serious gamblers and books..

G & J's line service has made vast improvements......and is substantially cheaper than db2k

DB is a must for scalping of any number in this day and time.

Scalps more easy to find with Locals as Most All offshore numbers are "painted" an some offhsore joints move on "air"
Locals move more with "thier" action. For me scalping Always involves Local back to offshore and the offshore numbers are with out a doubt the sharpest. Seems like to me anyway.
All one has to do is look at the screen if any offshore joint is ever a point different than market they are usually not there long, or thats the side they want you on in the first place. JMHO
