downloading music

I used to download music at winmx, but they are shut down now. Anyone know of a place to download music?

Bearshare is my favorite-just be sure to run ad-aware or spybot after instlalling it to remove all the bullshit that they piggyback on top of the free version.

the new place to download music is no longer on p2p networks. It's on music blogs.

People post full albums in their blogs, and provide links to where you can download from. They also take requests.

yes limewire is free and you can go the bitorrent route if you want as well (as for actually websites you mean.....nope atleast none that I know of)

I also used winmx and have switched to Morpheus. I have not had any problems so far.

pay $15 a month for Newsgroups....www.usenetserver.com

i download everything...including games, apps, movies, music...whatever...from newsgroups...and its super fast

Couldn't agree more. I've been using usenetserver for years (there are other providers besides them, but they are pretty decent)

Using a usenet newsgroup reader may take you a little learning, but it will be well worth it. Outlook Express comes with one and it's pretty easy to use. I use Newsrover http://www.newsrover.com/, it kicks ass.

do you go to Newzbin.com to view the groups?

I had Winmx too. Sad to see it go. I tried Shareza but it was too complicated to set up. Got Morepheus and have been so happy with it. Highly recommended. :103631605

I too used WinMX but after the whole crack down I have not downloaded anything and wont... not worth 30K if caught...
