I'm no marketing genius, but have a suggestion , for you, since you seemed cool , when I talked with you at BASH in LV.

I suggested this to Shrink just before he left, as well, he liked it !

Rx needs a prominant link to other sites, IMO. Part of revenue here is based on the number of hits this site receives, in addition to what the banners bring in.

Roberto gets it ! He has an easy link , believe he calls it "useful resources" right at the bottom left of his home page, it links to about a dozen other forums with RX first, SBR,MW, EOG, and many others !

I use that link a lot, giving Rubbertoe hits in the process, I only read his forum, maybe weekly , but he must get 10 hits a day from me !

Top books co-exist even can do direct transfers between themselves, saving them both NT fees, top forums can act in a similar fashion, as well !

I've questioned the value of the banner ad at a site like this anyway ! It sure didn't bring in biz for BCN !

Many have quit like Mansion, Pinny, they don't need a banner ( they're mentioned multiple times daily, anyhow, right here).

Banner hangers seem to change frequently. Even if somewhat effective, players drawn from here are supposed to be a bit smarter than your average bear, perhaps even better than a monkey throwing darts !

I barely notice the banners at all ! I certainly don't play with a book because they fly a banner at Rx, If that was my criteria I'd use books at SBR , EOG, even TOW over Rx.

Skybook is one hell of a book for Rx, Marty. I'd give them a serious discount.

Suggestions from a loyal player.

Why wouldn't people just bookmark the various forums they want to go to?

That way you don't help other sites grow by linking to them... I'm not sure it's worth it to get a few duplicate hits a day when compared to how much traffic you are giving the other forums.

Plus, 95% of people will just bookmark the forums they want to go to.

I don't see how this would be worthwhile.

Then again, I've never really delved into marketing so who knows.

At some pont in time your favories lists grows long ! A quick tow link brings you here, Eog, SBR,MW, etc. Even auto complete fails at times. I want sportsbook review for example, I get sportbet, sportsbook.com,sports insights etc, Earlier versions don't offer auto-complete.

I'll call it friendly. Roberto links here, why doesn't rx link back ? A link should reciprocate, IMO ! I'm not saying Roberto is the best thing since sliced cheese, but he links his site here, shouldn't rx do the same ? Tow is what I'd call a friendly link. EOG may not be considered as friendly, even with some of the same posters.

As a person who was banned a few years back for posting a link in the Rubber Room (supposedly unmoderated at the time), I can honestly say that theRX has, historically, shown no interest in linking anywhere.

Who knows what the new guys will do though. I just bookmark stuff personally.
