It all depends on how serious you are about winning.

Obviously, the more OUTS one has, the more good numbers one is going to find and with that comes more profits over the longhaul.

The excuse "it takes to long to compare lines" should not be a factor in your decision to how many sportsbooks one should have.

With all the available line services(including the FREE LIVE LINES here at TheRX), coupled with what sometimes posters will reveal with certain books in the forums as to lines, makes for having as many outs as you can confortably afford a must!

I agree Fish, the more the better. Spread out risk of the amount of the burn if someone goes belly up and multiplies the opportunities !

If your a recreational, hobby bettor like me 1 or 2 if your like fishstremski and do the grind 24/7 then maybe 16 books is good IMHO

What do you mean by organization?

Know where you stand with everybook financially.......active and non-active.

Know precisely how you stand towards your rollover requirements.

I suggest using 2-5 clipboards with 7-12 sportsbooks on each clipboard.

Above each "name of a sportsbook" write how much you have "invested" with them. At the bottom of the page, have a rollover section for each book you currently need a rollover with to withdraw with the amount you need yet to complete the rollover.

One can then transfer this to a master page when withdrawing to know exactly how you stand.

Know also when your time limit has elapsed to be eligible for FREE withdrawls.

ALL this and then you should have a nice 3-ring binder for your overall gambling wins and losses............which can be served as your diary for tax purposes, personal inquiries, etc., etc.

Fish and Redeye masters of using multiple outs. I am using half dozen now and may add 2 more for basketball.

OK you guys using mulitple outs.

What do I do when the outs I have are not on live lines or GJ?!

It becomes a video game at this point, with furious mouse clicking and typing it seems. Worth it? Of course, I am not a fool I know this is what it takes to be a pro. Just seems like a lot of blitzing in and out of all of your accounts.

I think you just keep up with a new online gambling term.........."blitzing" accounts.

LOL!

BLITZING--Term used by line shoppers to find current lines.....usually done so by having numerous windows open and clicking many refresh tabs.

Fish, this is why I am usually afraid to ask a guy like yourself what the big play for the day is.

Your big play could go down in flames and you could/will still be in the BLACK

A rec player like myself, his big play goes down it is pretty much gauranteed this is a lousy day where I have lost money.

Having said that, who do you like today? j/k :)

LOL!

Think diversity is the key, at least for me.

Scalp
Middle
Handicap
Contests
Bonuses
etc
etc

In the "hole" most of the day anyway, might as well be doing something constructive.

By the way, made what I thought was a very good post the other day that was in response to the question "is it really worth it to scalp, when some plays only net one $50?"

Responded with this thought........

A player that plays 1100 to win 1000 on a game and plays 100 plays AND is fortunate to be a GREAT handicapper and hit 55% of his plays is going to have $55,000 in winnings and $49,500 in losses for a NET profit after it is all said and done of $5,500.

So essentially that indiviual was netting $55 per play.

THINK ABOUT THAT.............ONE JUST RISKED wagering $1,100 a game and hit a percentage very very very very few will ever attain lifetime(55%) and netted $55 per game after ONE-HUNDRED PLAYS!

For those that think ANY amount is not worth it scalping, the majority(not all) of them should not even be gambling period!

I thought that guy moved out? :toast:

Just messing with you, good stuff as always. As far as outs I agree somewhat with Fish, but to have outs just to have outs is silly. I know guys who boast about outs like they do penis size, big deal if you got 74 outs if you never use a number from 60 of them. Personally unless you are working through bonuses at some of them then you don't need more than about 10-12 outs in my opinion. You can get a good diversity of numbers in that range of books if they are the right ones without all the exposure.

Agree!

10-12 outs is a GREAT NUMBER of SEMI-ACTIVE to ACTIVE books to have and most of the time to have more is having money sitting doing nothing but drawing interest for the bookie.

One can always have extra money in Neteller that can be used in emergency situations to send to another out. In fact, this is a great strategy!!! Having that extra money in Neteller is essentially equal to having 10+ extra outs!!
