You keep hearng about these athletes dying at a very young age from some previously unknown heart condition. Has to make you wonder how many of us have similar conditions that have never been discovered.

ATLANTA-- Atlanta Hawks center Jason Collier died Saturday morning, possibly of cardiac arrest, the team said. He was 28.

Hawks spokesman Arthur Triche said no other details immediately were available and did not say where Collier was when he died.

The 7-foot, 260-pound Collier, a five-year NBA player, spent his first three seasons with Houston before joining Atlanta in 2003. He averaged 5.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in his career. Collier played for Georgia Tech and was drafted by Milwaukee in the first round, with the 15th pick overall, in the 2000 NBA draft.

Doesn't it come with the territory when you're that tall? You really don't see a ton of older tall guys. It's sad.

Yeah, sort of, but height shouldn't be a huge factor ! I didn't catch the guys hieght. Weight is more of a factor, IMO.

Not too many guys are 6'6" +to start with ,so you won't find a bunch of 6-6, 90 year old guys.

You never see a real old person, that's fat ! I've never seen a 90-year old , 300 lb guy !

Pushing 42 here, I'm in the second half, for sure !, don't plan on living to 84 or so, good under 84 on credit, if betting on how old I am at death.

Oh boy!

No. Just the right age. There are forces at work here that we don't fully understand. It was his time to go. The Man upstairs has a bigger plan.

When we get to the next life we will understand it all.

72 is plenty for me ! I'm non-religious 72 yo, works for Doug !

I'd still bet under, but hard to collect !

Over is a better bet, on this type of prop !
