Game had everything. Unreal and exciting finish. Leinert made the plays, but those last two decisions to run the ball were two of the dumber plays I've seen for such a poised kid. But this game was what college football is all about. :103631605

I agree, Illini.

Throw in the Wisconsin/Minnesota game, the Penn State/Michigan game, the WVU/Louisville game, and I have to say this was one of the greatest days to be a college football fan.

Doesn't hurt that I was on the RIGHT side of each of these games....

Cal State Fullerton 86
Previously UNbeaten and #1 UNLV 78

with 5,005 people shoehorned into a 4,100 seat gym and national media from every outlet known to man - most of whom had NO CLUE where Fullerton was 2 weeks earlier

THAT was the greatest game ever played and #2 is so far removed from this not even worth discussing. imagine a Marathon runner winning by 10 miles and you get the idea of the gap between #1 and #2 on my list of greatest games ever played

Winky that was a lousy game unless you were a CSUF fan/alum. Rebels played like shit and it wasn't even close, I remember it well. Been a Rebels fan since the 70s and watched the game in disbelief on Channel 56 in OC.

Can't believe you even imagined bringing that one up in comparison! Come on as a fellow Broncos fan, how can you not possibly list January 25, 1998 as the best game ever? That will always be one of the great days of my life and an incredible game to boot.

Ya think Matt Leinart wasn't just a little beat up?

I agree with you. In the USC and ND game yesterday, USC had to perform and illegal play to win the game. Your NOT supposed to AID the runner and Bush surely did shove QB into the endzone. JMO

Fluite just threw it as far as he could, thats all.
