WELL I guess Cowher is allowed to make a few mistakes in his career

post gazette

Cowher admitted he thought of changing quarterbacks at one point yesterday, but would not elaborate. Neither Charlie Batch, backup for a day, nor Roethlisberger, who could have entered the game in the fourth quarter, were told to get ready, although Cowher said it was "obvious" that Maddox had a bad game.

Roethlisberger, though, said he will be ready to resume his duties Sunday in Cincinnati after recovering from a hyperextended knee. "Oh, yeah," he emphasized
:lolBIG:

Maddox needs to be CUT instantly:puke1:

Thats why he is a backup, still a brutal display and can't see the team behind him.

One of the worst individual performances by a QB that you will ever see. Just brutal. Can not believe Cowher didn't make a change after it was obvious that Maddox just didn't have it that day. I mean it was bounces passes galore to wide open receivers. Pathetic. :finger:

agree PK....I posted above I am amazed bill thought about it but did not pull the trigger.. at LEAST in OT

throw Big ben out there for OT just think of the energy and electicity that would have been there had they seen there main man trot onto the field...

COWHER BLEW it and he knows it!

When will they announce this starter for this Sunday? Is Big Ben a definite go?

No excuse for a veteran backup to play that poorly, even worse he had a whole week to prepare it is not like someone got hurt in the middle of the game. They should cut him and bring in someone as a "project".

Culpepper, Maddox, Orton, Harrington, Carr, Testaverde, Brooks, Wright A Smith.

I'm sure there are others, but how can anyone lay points with any of these teams vs a team with a qb with a pulse? Bledsoe could play until he's 50 with these qbs starting.

Don't forget the game that Maddox gave the Texans a few years ago.

Somebody please convince Brian St. Pierre to come back to replace Maddox as the Steelers 3rd string QB.

Maddox better renew those insurance licenses.

its amazing to me that their arent 64 athletes in the entire world that would be great quarterbacks..

that would be 2 per team .

i guess that shows you how hard it is to play that position.

at any given year , their are only 10 or 12 guys who are worth a damn..
