...and I thought that before Marquis missed Biggio's bunt.

Seems to happen every year in the post season for the Braves and Cardinals.

I do not get it either. This team has gone from offensive power to looking sick at the plate. They aren't even threatening. The Astros are threatening just about every inning.
I know that good pitching stops good hitting but this team just completely died.

The only positives are they are going home and Carpenter is on the mound. :drink:

This was my first time on the Cards in this series and I was almost certain they would knock Backe around. Even if I get a gift and they come back in the 9th, not at all what I expected for this game.

Incredible VETERAN at bat by Walker. Almost any player in the league strikes out on that 2-2 pitch.

Sanders HAS TO make contact.

Fitting end. Even though Mabry is one of the slowest runners in baseball not including catchers, he has to find another gear on that play.

How in the hell did they turn that double play??? That ball was slowly hit with a lefty up. Sanders has to do a better job of breaking that up and Mabry has to beat that out. That was pathetic.

Even Joe Buck said "They won't get the double play"

Even if he was safe, I am sure the umps would have called him out, they had it in for the Cards this game.

Houston looks like a team of destiny right now.

I'd probably take them for the WS
