But let them lose it on the field...not with BS calls. I certainly as a fan would much rather see Pujols up in a game deciding at bat than an ump making a terrible call changing the entire game.
Mr Teaser said:Umpiring in this years playoffs has been horrible. Edmunds gets tossed after that jackass blows the call. Unreal.
World Number One said:all he had to say was " jim , i think youre going to far . i dont want to toss you . i called it a strike "
edmonds wasnt showing him up . just used some adult words to make his point ..
Edmonds probably deserved to get tossed. I'm sure he crossed the line, and you can't really make exceptions when someone gets personal, so I agree with you there. I'm a Cardinals fan, but I was really just venting, because this umpire makes it painful to watch a game. He is so bad, it's laughable. From the first pitch today, for both teams, not just the Cardinals, he made a mockery of the game. But he's always like that, every game, so I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Flip a fucking coin....heads is a ball, tails is a strike.barman said:Shocker...A thread full of Cardinal bettors teed off at the home plate ump.
Based on my own experience as an umpire at mens amatuer level, I'd bet a buck or two that dude said exactly to Edmonds, "Chill out, I called a strike, let's play"
He pointed right to the batters box, which suggests he said, "Get back in there and shut up."
Edmonds has been playing long enough to know that you can argue with an ump on any decision except balls/strikes. And you definitely don't get right up in his face on a ball/strike call and drop an MF bomb.
Edmonds blew the situation by losing his head.
How can anyone who is normal not blow his cool in a situation like that ? Pure stupidity by the Ump and I hope He loses his job ! It isn't even fun watching a game when a little league Ump could have done better. !barman said:Shocker...A thread full of Cardinal bettors teed off at the home plate ump.
