If the NFL had as many flags as it does now when it first began, it would have never gotten off the ground. Every single play I catch myself looking at the top of the screen to check for the flag logo just knowing they cant go an entire play without throwing something for some reason.

Every last game I have watched today has been painful to watch. They are even inventing new rules and calling flags. I trully believe that the only 2 reasons we still watch this shit is out of habit, and the fact that there is betting going on. I cant even enjoy a Saints game anymore.

It makes it look even worse when yesterday may have been one of the best 5 Saturdays in college football history as far as exiting games. The college refs certainly miss there share of calls too, but at least for the most part they dont invent shit to call just so they can get there face on television.

I use to look forward to Sundays once upon a time. How many of you watching this crap can honestly say you are enjoying this product? The next generation of fans is not going to put up with this crap. Its so bad it threatens to kill the sport. I dont know how much more I can take.

:lolBIG:

I guess Mr Tony Larussa is slowly falling into the same postseason catagory as Bobby Cox. Remember all them great Oakland teams that lost to inferior teams like the Dodgers and the Reds. Now its starting to happen to him in St Louis. 2 very simaliar resumes.

5 flags in 4 plays, 1 waived off so far. Also, what the fuck are the refs doing saying the position, not the #.

2 official plays in tonights game and 6 flags. Not counting the one that was declined.

Unbearable. Something has to be done about this. It will kill the game in the long run.

In this case you can't blame the refs when the players can't even line up right before the ball is snapped. 3 defensive in the neutral zone and two illegal procedure on Houston's right tackle for lining up off the line of scrimmage.

That doesn't mention the two offsetting penalties called when Houston still had the ball.

I timed this thread perfectly. Tonights game is unwatchable. double digit flags and we are not even half way through the first quarter.

Imagine the flags if the refs had the balls to flag coaches and players for bitching and crying???

Every play you have 35 coaches and 50 players on the sideline whining about the call.

Also, a player on a team that is losing by 40 and guy runs around like he broke Strahans sack record because he grabbed a backup QB during a coverage sack.

another flag as i type. I find myself looking in the center of the top screen for the flag symbol on almost everyplay. Certainly on every significant play.
I agree it has become ridiculous that the officials have such a big effect on the games. I dont think replay is working either.

Little interpretation with these calls. While I agree with the over penalisation, this is a piss poor example.
