I'm confused about scalping. If Book A has a baseball line of Yankees -140 and Boston +130, what would a line on the game at Book B have to be to be in order to qualify for a scalp? Can someone give an example?
Thanks

There is much more to scalping than that, but that is one way. you can also scalp out a Match Play, or scalp out to get the most of a nice 50-100% bonus, where a 5c line will do the job.

But if you are looking to scalp just the games, yes, you need to have the dog be greater than the fav, for ex. +150/-145 this would be close to a 1% scalp.

I think most common scalp is like BOS +105 at one book and NYY +105 at another.

Okay,

So book A has the Yankees -140 and Boston +130 and Book B has the Yankees -155 and Boston +145 correct? How would you bet this to produce the scalp?

1K on boston +145, and $1420 on Yanks at -140 would get your about $20, but other ways too, you could have a lean on the favorite, and double the scalp value, and break even if it the other side hits.
