Has asked that autopsy results not be released until after the burial. Doesn't that seem like there is more to this? Sad story whatever the answer is...

Couldn't it just be that they don't want to have to answer questions right now during the greiving process? Why always some shady motives?

Labeeb....It isn't normal for people to wait until after the funeral. He died of a stroke...heart attack....cancer....then burial. What you have to consider is the way it is usually done. The ONLY reason it would not be done the usual way this time is it is (most probably) something bad involved and they want to have a respectable funeral and have the focus on the man not anything he might have done wrong. I say good idea on their part and it is an appropriate request. Unfortunately, it indicates a drug problem or suicide on his part. Is that the God's Own Truth? I don't know, but it looks that way. tulsa

By the way..if it was a heart attack or somesuch the family doesn't really answer those questions. And there aren't many of those questions. You are closer to the truth when you say "Couldn't it just be that they don't want to have to answer questions right now during the grieving process?" If it was other than 'natural' causes then the family will have many questions posed them during their grieving process. So, you are correct. They don't want to answer questions during their grieving process. There are no or very few questions with a heart attack. tulsa

Tulsa,

There are always questions, regardless of how simple 1 explanation might be.

Sure there are some questions, most answered by team doctors when there is a natural cause to an athlete's death. The family will always have to answer "What will it be like without him?" "What were the last words he said to you?" type questions. So, you surely know what I meant, dsethi. The cause of death questions go to the doctors until you find out it was self-inflicted OD or suicide. THEN...bar the door. tulsa
