Lidge blunder pitching to Pujols in recent playoff history.

I have to say it ranks very high if not the highest.

TRW,

The closed roof served its purpose of keeping that ball in the facility. That ball was surely headed for San Antonio.

what cracks me up is the attitude of managers when it comes to their closers.

they all think that their guy is unhittable ..

that their guy can just mow down any 3 hitters they have to face..

their is nothing i love more than seeing someone blast one 500 feet of these superheros that come in for 1 inning...

ya , pujols was 0-4 before it .. but he is also gonna go down as one of the top 5 or 8 players of alltime....

It reminded me of the Dave Henderson homer of Donnie Moore , the Astros one out away from FINALLY getting to the WS, similar scene in the dugout, remember Reggie Jackson arm around Gene Mauch (who was finally getting his shot at a WS) and neither happened , Mauch never got close again.
