NEW YORK - Joe Torre intends to return as manager of the New York Yankees next season, saying Tuesday that "I still want to manage here."

Torre, who has two years left on his contract, had not spoken about his future since the Yankees lost in the first round of the playoffs to the Los Angeles Angels.

Torre, who has led New York to four World Series titles, met Monday in Tampa, Fla., with Yankees owner George Steinbrenner.

I wish someone would TAKE Bobby Cox:hump: Cox is very good at what he does but post season play aint his forte. I know many teams would love to have him.
