I know I am not supposed to do this but I can't help myself. I purchased
a few ionic breeze air cleaners. You know, the infomercial, the one that
goes on and on and on. Okay, I bit. Just recently I have been doing some
cursory research on ozone and found out much to my dismay that ozone is a good thing in the upper atmosphere but not a very good thing to breathe. Guess what, these devils produce ozone. I called SI and bitched and they sent me attachments that are supposed to turn the ozone into oxygen. Bullshit. I tested these machines with and without that attachment and both tests showed unacceptable levels of ozone. Buyer beware on this product. Oh and btw, they will allow you to return them but not for cash, only for credit on other products. Just a heads up for all my good friends. According to my research hepa is the way to go, pain in the ass with the noise and the filters but no ozone.
