Always got cutoff betting greyhounds. After a few $20.00-$30.00 winners at 200 a clip, out came the words "no more dogs".

A few questions Fish:

1. You have NEVER bet w/ a local? how can that be possible?
2. I have seen you say OFFSHORE BETTING is legal MANY times before. Please, once and for all, tell us how you come to that conclusion...

I am 44 and bartended for a few years (that explains my affinity for a cocktail:drink: ) where I met every local bookie. Played with them off and on my entire life. Once I got online in the 90's, I started hammering there off lines. I think i single handily am the reason each one finally got Don Best. All cut me off except one that had Don Best and he would alway quote me the line straight from the screen so he was useless. I haven't played with one in about 5 years or so. Damn those were the good ole days. Good for my ego also, they couldn't figure out how I was so good:dancefool .

Cut Off By Book

Hello In The Late 70s When Bookies Took Horse Bets I Got Cut Off When He Figured Out I Was Placing Bets For Guys He Had Cut Off Previously.I REally Could Not Blame Him In Looking Back At The Situation.
WE Remained Friends And I Still Got To Lose My Football Bets To Him On A Regular Basis

Excuse me if these seems to be a naive questions but...

1. Would there be a definitive way for him to know you were scalping?
2. In the long run what harm is your scalping causing him? (assuming your're winning ~50% of the time with him)

1. Never met a true "street bookie"(remember, grew up in rural Iowa and lived the majority of my life in Vegas).

2. Know of no law that clearly states it is illegal to wager on sports via the internet in a foreign country.

The WIRE ACT law was written years and years ago before computors arrived into mainstream America, therefore it does not specifically cover the use of the internet.

I once lost 7k one week from a local and he cut me off and I had to pay atleat half before I could bet again. I've never been cut off for winning but have been told I had a limit on how much I could bet when I was alot.
